Hanan Cumbia Eurorack

Drum Machine with sounds and rhythms of Cumbia, Arcade buttons, tap tempo and sync.

Eurorack version of the HTR2 Standalone.

Programmed on the Arduino platform. Designed and build in latinomerica.

It has:
4 Sounds (arcade pads): Kick, Guiro, Cow Bell and Conga.
2 Pitch control Knobs (Cow Bell and Conga)
4 black buttons functions: Play, Rec, Ctrl and Tap.
4 pre-recorded sequences of 32 steps each

• Recording of sequences in real time.
• Clock input to synchronize with other machines.
• Tap Tempo button for internal clock.

Quick functions:

• Play: starts playing the sequence, if you press it again the sequence stops. 
• Rec: start recording what you play, if you press it again, return to play mode
• Ctrl + some pad: switch between the 4 available sequences
• Ctrl + play: the sequence plays in reverse
• Play + rec: delete the sequence
• Ctrl + tap: puts the battery in sync mode, receives the pulse through sync conector
• Tap twice: tap tempo
• Control + rec + pad: Erase the sounds sequence of this particular sound pad.

Design:
Collaboration with the Peruvian graphic artist Yefferson Huaman (Ruta Mare), and his graphics inspired by Cumbia Chicha. This style of psychedelic cumbia is typical of the Amazonian bands, but extended by several Andean and Amazonian territories. Their strong aesthetic is present in their electric sounds but above all in their graphic art with rich lyrics, colorful posters and symbolic illustrations.

Los Laberintos Silkscreen workshop based in Mexico City has screen printed 3 fluorine colors all over the case. This careful hand printing work has been done on the deep black PCB mounting material. Ensuring a durable construction and a permanent, eye-catching color.
